Dear CEO: I recently visited my daughter in the Boston area and had your whole wheat and harvest bread and brought both back to Phoenix with me. I savored every piece and think it is the most delicious bread ever! I’ve had excellent bread in many cities, including the West Coast, yet I have never had any as wonderful as yours. I wish you would open a bakery in the Phoenix area! I read that you plan to grow slowly, yet, Phoenix would be a great place to introduce your bread to this part of the country. What do you think?? Thank you

Hello! It’s dinner time and I’m enjoying a loaf of your bread from Russo’s with dinner. Your bread is so moist, crusty, and DELICIOUS with yummy cheese or just some butter. This is the third loaf of yours I have gotten from Russo’s. What’s best about it? It lasts a WEEK in the fridge! I make tons of my own bread, but I cannot make a loaf (yet) as wonderful aas this. THANK YOU for sharing your gift of bread making with the rest of MA!! A VERY happy customer, A.S Watertown, MA

Thought you might like to know that I visited your café today for the first time and I cannot wait to return with my wife. We visited Montreal this past June and were so impressed with many bread bakeries/cafes. Our favorite was one where you could watch bread and pastry being made while enjoying coffee and a Danish. I have been totally hooked on your 7Grain bread for about a year now and am buying it at Vedalia’s in Beverly Farms. Recently I tried your raisin bread and now am hooked on it. The raisins you use are totally amazing. I went to Vedalia’s today and they were already out of your breads, so, being on vacation, I set out to find your retail store. Mapquest took me to West Concord and I must say I thought I had come needlessly to some mass production factory until I saw the little café sign. I travelled over an hour each way but I came home with four loaves and raisin swirl pastry to eat in the car. Who could ask for more? Congratulations on a fine bread and a wonderful enterprise. I can’t wait to return with my wife.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet both of you today. I have been reveling lately about how special the island is. After thirty years, I never take it for granted. How unique it is and how personal our business connections are here. I was mentally making a list of the vendors who make everything more meaningful. Last week, I drove up island to Chilmark Chocolates, a charming and inspirational place that makes the most delicious one of a kind chocolates. They hire those who have severe disabilities and give them purpose and love. We use their almond butter crunch in one of our desserts. It is not easy to drive back to Chesca’s with 20 pounds in the car. Next I went to the Grey Barn to pick up three of their cheeses. Organic grass fed cows, honor system payment. On our cheese plate. Then a stop at Mermaid Farm, for an alpine style cheese and the most beautiful eggs ever. Pale blue, tan, speckled brown and pale green. Honor system again. I was beside myself with gratitude that we get to do business in this manner. Today I added you to my list. Thank you

You have THE BEST BREAD out there. Hands down. Without a doubt. I love it so much. Best sourdough I’ve ever had and I’ve been to San Francisco. The HARVEST bread is the best thing ever toasted with butter in the morning. I love it so much. Keep doing what you do. It is phenomenal. Thank you
-
Oh I am so hooked on your Harvest bread, I bought several loaves at the Common Crow in Gloucester, froze them (they hold up superbly), but now I’m down to just a couple of slices, sigh! You see, I live in NYC and near Ridgefield, CT, but I don’t see anywhere near me to buy your bread. Therefore, most hopefully, I submit my question, “Do you ship?” I would buy a boxful. Thank you for letting me know, and I should add, I have travelled widely around the world but I have never found any loaf like Harvest – it’s simply unequaled!

Hello my name is B.L. I am an acoustic guitarist and teacher living in Cambridge, MA Born and raised in France, quality bread is an everyday essential. But after living in the USA for decades, a strange thing started to happen: I could not eat American Bread, I would start getting redness on my face, so I thought I was gluten intolerant…. But I could eat French bread in France with no problem. So what was that about? After some research, I found out that the source of my discomfort was a chemical, Potassium Bromate, used widely in the USA for faster result. I guess French folks like me prefer their food slow, and done right. So living in the USA, I went searching for American solution and one day in a store, a bread bag label caught my eyes: it said “Slow Rise”. I thought: yes, these folks got it! Turns out the amazing bread came out of the Nashoba Brook Bakery. I savor with my kid daily with no problem. Super nutritious, digestible and the flavor is something else. So thanks to the Nashoba Brook Bakery for curing my homesick blues!

Hi, I just discovered your bread at Hannford’s in Peabody & Saugus. I got brave & tried something new and “fell in love with your Raisin bread”. After eating my first several pieces I decided to read the label & best of all the ingredients are GOOD & HEALTHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally a bread that tastes great & is healthy too. I am passing the word around to my friends & colleagues. Keep up the great tasty work. I’m looking forward to sampling your other breads if I can get myself to break away from the Raisin. Thank you, thank yoou, thank you for a delicious product.

When I am in Boston at Charles River Park Whole Foods, I am filling sacks with your breads to take back on the train headed for NYC> Do you ship your breads to a retailer in NYC? Do you ship to private customers? I dream of your sour dough
-
I just purchased your sourdough sliced bread, from Whole Foods Melrose, for the very first time. Well dough me down!! I’m going to replace my can of spinach, with your bread, to give me strength. As good as my grandma’s. It does my heart good, on those rare occasions, when I sample a new product filled with such pride. You’ve got Flour Power Baby!!

After several exhausting days and a gnarly traffic jam yesterday to top it off, I finally got home last night to my teenage kids reluctantly helping me unload my car. We got in the house and my 13 year-old son pulls from a bag a loafof bread as long as his arm and as beautiful as anything he had ever seen. The kid knows good bread and promptly grabs the proper knife, cuts a huge piece, bites into it and exclaims, “this doesn’t even need butter!” We fried up some killer bacon and made the best BLT’s we’d ever had, enjoyed, snuggled in my bed together, crumbs and all. I believe bread brings people together, and your brought some love to my kids and me last night. Thank you for being such gracious and generous neighbors at the Boston Food Show

Dear bakery employees and owners, I just discovered your Sourdough bread so I googled to read about you. I want to compliment your bakery for the best sourdough loaf I’ve ever eaten. Perfect crust, just chewy enough center, and excellent sour-but-not-too-sour taste. I live in Connecticut so I hope you will continue to market through Whole Foods stores. Here’s to your continued good baking success and good fortune
-
I Never knew SOURDOUGH could taste so GOOD, I've Never tasted better (In my 71 years) and will be ordering more
-
I just wanted to let you know that during this pandemic, your sourdough bread has become an indescribably important part of my daily life. Thank you for making such an amazing bread, and for being a comfort for everyone who had been lucky enough to discover your breads. I’m doing my part to get the word out for you! Thank you all. Stay safe and healthy
-
Dear Nashoba: I ordered 3 loaves of your Sourdough Bread from Williams-Sonoma- received it today. It is WONDERFUL. LOVE it. I definitely will be ordering more, directly from you. Thank you so very much, I’m going to check out your other items also. Again, it is the best I’ve ever had & I lived in San Francisco for over 20 years & yours is the best.
-
Dear Nashoba: I just want to say that your Harvest bread is the best tasting bread I've ever had in my life. I make a special trip to Hannaford's just to get it, and I always try to buy a loaf for a friend who hasn't tasted it yet. I may start a fan club. Seriously, I just want to say wow and thank you for such a fantastic bread!!!! :)
-
To whom it may concern: This is the best olive bread I've ever had! We make Italian grilled cheese with mozzarella, provolone and pesto, and this bread took it up to a whole other level of awesomeness. Try it, you won't be disappointed. All the best
-
I tried your sourdough bread, lightly toasted and slathered with Kate's Creamery Butter. To be brief - I'm addicted !!! I also ran out and quickly bought two more loaves. I will certainly make a point of trying your other products when my wife, Joan and I go shopping at Adam's Supermarket on Watertown Ave. in Watertown, CT
-
Dear NBB: Undoubtedly your sourdough is one of the best breads I have ever had in my 71 years, including a LOT of San Francisco sourdough growing up in California, wonderful homemade bread from the mother of my 3 daughters, and great bread in Paris, etc. etc. I love both the chewy texture as well as the flavor. I live in Jamaica Plain. We used to look for it in Sudbury Farms and Roche Brothers, but not always available. But now I just bought 4 loaves from Whole Foods through Amazon. We will eat one fresh over the next week, "half deli-slice" the others and freeze. The frozen popped into the toaster (with butter on top) is almost as good as the fresh. I was writing you a note on your web site and discovered you ship it as well. So no more excuses for not having your bread all the time! Again, I just want to tell you how great it is; keep up the great work! My favorite bread in all the world! And a commercial bread! You are geniuses!
-
Dear Nashoba: best freakin bread. extraordinary invention. flavors and textures come up to the best baguette i've ever had. my girlfriend and i just finished some, toasted, with black coffee. ... a frequent occurrence. and we talk about how tasty it is. don't stop. thank you.
-
I wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying your sourdough bread. I was born in San Francisco and sourdough bread was available everywhere. When I came to the Boston area, I tried many different brands of "sourdough" bread but none of them came close to the texture and flavor of the sourdough bread that was available in San Francisco until I tried your sourdough. I toasted it and spread lots of butter on top and OMG the taste and crunch brought me right back to my childhood in San Francisco enjoying toasted sourdough bread. Thank you so much.
-
I had not ever tried your bread but randomly bought a loaf at Willow Rest in Gloucester MA. We’re eating it now during the blizzard. IT IS THE BEST!!! Thank you so much for taking time to make this amazing bread.
-
Friends! We love your breads! Thank you for doing what you do so well. Please don't close, move far away or change your bread philosophy. In deep gratitude
-
Hello, I recently purchased my first load of your sourdough bread and I just wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying it. I have purchased many sourdough bread from a number of different places and yours has been the best. Others pass off other less substantial and less tasty breads as sourdough but they are pretty sub par. I purchased a loaf of your bread from Roche brothers in Bridgewater last week and I will continue to do so because is is really delicious! I do not regularly shop there for my weekly groceries and I just happened to come upon your item. Do you deliver to them daily? With the high gas prices I try not to make unnecessary trips to Bridgewater center. Also, do you have your breads selling elsewhere in the Bridgewater area. Thanks for making such a high quality sourdough that actually tastes like a sourdough bread should.
-
Hello, I found your sourdough bread a few months ago at Roche Brothers in Bridgewater. I emailed you about how much I loved it and found it to be the best that I had taste tested. I am 72, so you can imagine how many breads i have tasted in my lifetime. I went to purchase more last week and there was none left. I noticed that there was your French bread still available so I purchased that instead. I just need to let you know that whatever you are doing please keep it up because Both the Sourdough and French breads that I have taste are both so delicious and satisfying. I was at another market recently and picked up a sourdough bread from a different company, for convenience sake. It looked good, felt hefty enough and the label said it was an artisan bread. I paid a price equal to the price you sell your bread for. So, I took a chance and purchased a loaf. Well....it was horrible. I kept comparing it in my head, to your brand and was just so dissatisfied with it. I'm frugal, but very picky about my bread choices, and I even had to admit I couldn't eat it and enjoy it with my tea or coffee. So I gave it to the squirrels. I just wanted you to know what a quality product you make. I freeze the fresh loaf, just after purchasing it, and just thaw a piece or 2 as needed.
-
I just bought your 7 grain sourdough bread at Halls Market in West Hartford, CT. I didn't realize it was sourdough until I opened the bag. Wow. Really wow. I am a native Californian and sourdough bread from San Francisco has been one of my favorites. Your bread is on par with that, and better, because of all of the grains! Congratulations! Any chance of moving to an organic version in the future? I would be happy to pay more for a beautiful organic loaf.

Nashoba Brook Bakery has the best bread on the planet. Period. Variety, exceptional quality, either to go or eat-in. Our fave breads: Sourdough; Harvest; French; 7-Grain. All savory food is amazing from perfectly made sandwiches, simple or elaborate; soups; quiches; and changing salads, muffins, scones. Many items are available for take-home: ready for soon, or frozen for later. Can't beat their whole quiches for a perfect easy meal. Sweets are extraordinary & ever changing too: berry pies, cherry cookie bars, lemon cupcakes, chocolate brownies. By the piece or whole, desserts are great. Coffees and teas selection and quality: wow. just WOW. Cold juices & other beverages great too. Best of all: the atmosphere inside and out. Nashoba Brook has picnic tables alongside its green beauty with birds singing, and lovely footbridge over the Brook leads to the parking lot in back, off Winthrop Street in West Concord. Look for bakery's Slow Rise trucks: you're there. Recent expansion led to front door on Mass Ave closed (not so attractive); follow signs & listen for babbling Brook to back of building to enter. Much nicer riverside back entrance -- I have used it for decades. Indoors is filled with chairs (comfy or high for Brook views); paintings; photographs; plus notices for local music, drama, & other events. That wonderful aroma of breads baking, fresh coffee brewing, & delicious other dishes-that-day will lure you in. Breads, Breakfast, Brunch, and Lunch are focus so Nashoba Brook Bakery does close at 4:00 pm. Open daily 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Great to follow on Insta and Facebook for specials too. Or just get up and GO!!!

Dear John: It was a pleasure to meet you last week. I wanted to share my love for Nashoba Brook Bakery’s extraordinary Sourdough bread: its delicious taste, wonderful smell, perfect texture, and consistent perfection. That’s no easy accomplishment when you bake and sell so much perfect bread at both your Nashoba Brook Bakery & Café’s lovely location, plus numerous quality grocery stores too, in many varieties. I have been enjoying Sourdough bread my whole life. First, in California, where I was born and introduced to quality Sourdough. This bread was a nod to the natural Sourdough created by necessity during the California Gold Rush. My family later moved to Seattle, another bastion of quality Sourdough from the Alaskan Gold Rush days. My last move was across the country from Washington to Massachusetts, which has been my home for twenty-five years. My wife introduced me to Nashoba Brook Bakery and your Sourdough bread. It is hands-down my favorite bread and certainly the best Sourdough of anyplace, ever. I love the pleasantly sour flavor from the slow-rise natural yeast — and Nashoba Brook Bakery’s is perfect. I look forward to enjoying many years more of all your breads, but especially that quintessential Sourdough. We’re also enthusiastic about your inimitable Harvest, French, and Whole Wheat breads. Thank you for creating such a delightful haven of delicious breads locally, in so beautiful a setting. Nashoba Brook Bakery is a Happy Place for us that we enjoy sharing with many of our family and friends.

I can’t tell you how saddened we were to hear about the fire at your bakery. We went to buy our favorite sourdough and the entire shelf was empty. I was quite upset and asked the bakery clerk what the problem was. She explained there had been a fire at the bakery. I hope no one was injured in the fire, but I can see from the photo of your special ovens that this is definitely going to be a problem to get them fixed. We have been buying Nashoba Brook Bakery’s Slowrise bread for several years now and I even usually call Whole Foods in Nashua (NH) to be sure they have it before I drive down there. It is the BEST bread we have ever eaten, no lie!!! We really miss it for toast in the morning. I hope you are able to get your oven fixed very soon so you can go back to doing what you do best. We didn’t realize you also have a café, so once you are back in business we will be sure to take a ride there to enjoy a meal. Thanks for your dedication to making such a fine product!
-
I started buying your sourdough bread at my local Big Y store recently because I was asked by my son to buy it for the grilled cheese bar I was doing for a family get together. That was months ago and now I won’t buy any other bread but your sourdough. It’s so delicious and to know it’s healthier for me as well is just an added bonus. Thanks for making a great bread!!!
-
So I probably shouldn’t start my note with ‘I’m not really a bread person...’ like my sister whose eyes glaze at the mere thought of bread! But, usually I’m a take it or leave it bread person. Until now. I bought a half loaf of your sourdough sliced bread at my local supermarket (because it’s New Year’s and I read somewhere that sourdough is HEALTHY!) and I wanted to tell you how much my eyes are glazing!! Toasting with honey & peanut butter, and as part of a turkey sandwich, and with butter as a side for soup. I am a convert. I think it’s important to tell people when they’re doing a great job so thank you for getting your bread to my local Adam’s Supermarket in Deep River, CT. I will look for it again and again!
